Get the SU4100 R1 now or wait for the next version that may have better battery life?

Was thinking if I should pull the trigger now of getting an SU4100 m11x that has 8.5 hrs battery life on power saver mode or wait for R3 that may have better battery life and maybe a stronger video card.

I'd just wait, specially since the hinges are defective on a lot of m11x and maybe Alienware will redesign it.

It's still gonna have an i-series so playing the waiting game seems somewhat fruitless

Not if they update the GPU. I say wait. Especially since the mobile 4 series nvidia cards are starting to pop up.

Yeah that is true but if he wants the 8.5 hrs of battery life the R1 gets I dont think there will be much room for improvement in the GPU department.

If all he is looking for is battery life then yeah your right there is a high chance there won't be much improvement if any if they stick to optimus which they will.
