I currently use a smaller wireless Logitech mouse for my m11x. I don't like it, its not that smooth when not on a mouse pad and i take my m11x throughout campus when i wanna game in between classes. The mouse also doesn't work on black surfaces or black reflective surfaces.

What is a cheap mouse that works on all surfaces and is smooth sailing on all surfaces? I need at least three buttons including scroll wheel, but more buttons is better (my main comp has a razer naga)

    Thanks in advance

I use the Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX with my m11x.
It's small and very portable and has a micro USB adaptor that sticks out only a few millimeters from the USB port. Also comes with a nice leathery feeling case to carry it around. Only thing is it might not have all the buttons you want.

The key thing IMO for travel mouses is portability and also ability to use on any surface since you never know where you might have to use it. And the Anywhere MX is great for that due to the darkfield technology that allows it even to be used on clear glass, something not even Microsoft's blutech can do. Another bonus is it runs on 2 AAA batteries (or was it AA? I forgot) so either way it's easy to have replacement batteries in case juice runs it.. which to that point, I've had mine for 1 yr now and although I only use a few hrs a week, have not had to replace battery yet.

If you want something bigger though you can go for the other regular Logitech MX mouse. The latest version also has darkfield tech but is more suited for home use only due to the charging dock that's clearly not made for travel.

Anywhere MX is very good mouse, not cheap but ... It needs 2xAA batteries. It is working even with only one battery, but it becomes unbalanced because of missing battery. In any case it is useful in case you battery died and you could find only one spare battery.

Darkfield is very good technology - on any surface it works great, even mirror. The only drawback is power consumption. It eats battery a lot quicker that other Logitech mices, but in any case Anywhere Mouse works longer than Apple Magic Mouse.
