    Gt540m -> Gt630m

    So guys with M18X/M17X already flashed their 580M with VBIOS from 675M
    I think we can also flash ours GT540M to GT630M, but everything we need now is only GT630M VBIOS with 2048MB DDR3, so we can try it on our M11X R3

    Feel free to do this and show me the results :) I have had no luck flashing mine as I wanted to update my clocks but I keep getting a message to say that I cannot change this Vbios when I try and save a ROM? any ideas?

    So you have a 630M VBIOS? Can you upload it plz?

    No not the 630M. That is why I said feel free to do this and show me the result because I have had no luck at all editing my Vbios.

    I don't see the point for minimal performance gain at the risk of bricking your laptop. You can OC you card manually without any risk. But hey more power to you if you want to try. Personally I always think the risk is not worth the reward.

    True, in reference to what I was referring to is the ability to edit the Vbios not flash a Vbios from another card. I normally take the risk so that I dont have extra software running and my clocks revert to what I know is stable when running in high performance. This is the first laptop I have had that when trying to access the ROM it gives an error that you cannot change it.

    I'm interested in this. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for a bios mod in the near future.
