After some fairly extensive googling, I've come to the conclusion that finding a simple reinstallation guide for Windows 7 via USB is rather hard to come by.

I eventually landed on this blog post that takes you step by step through creating a bootable USB flash drive, which is the missing link in the other guides I found, and using that to reinstall windows.

Just be aware that you'll need a computer with a dvd disk drive or an external dvd disk drive for your M11x, unless you have an iso file for windows 7 already.

Hope that helps anyone looking to get a fresh install on their m11x!

Nice. i think that is a imporant step that most guides assume ppl already know how to do. which is kind of wierd considering that the main reason most ppl would ever want to make a jump drive bootable would be to put an OS on it.

Theres a way to not even have to mess with formatting it setting it to bootable or anything like that.

    Microsoft Store Online

Itll do everything for you including formatting, and extracting files to the stick or dvd. You can input either an iso or dvd
