So I was checking out GW2 - looks sweet. I was wondering if anyone had beta experience with it on the M11x.

I am running the R1 - GPU (GT 335M) should be fine; I'm worried about the CPU (Core 2 Duo 1.6 Ghz BIOS OC) though.

I've run games that recommend higher than 1.6, so I'm not sure. I also tried the 2.0 Ghz mod a while back but I don't think my RAM can handle it.

    Any insight? Thanks.

I was told by another user roughly 6 months ago that an arena net employee was running the beta/alpha on an m11x r1. No idea on settings, but it can run it. Since beta invites are being sent out in the next few days, we will have a better idea soon.

Looks like it can run it fine. Also, 1.6GHz i5/i7 (even the ULV) > Core2Duo 2.0GHZ it shouldn't have a problem,

I am certain it can run it. Doubtful if it can be run on high/ultra. But definitely low to medium.

I ran Guild Wars 2 with my M11x R2 and I played 12 hours straight during the ending phase of beta.

Low settings due to clogged system, I think I had like 10gb left on my harddrive along with countless other problems.

It played nice without any framerate issues and I'm pleased with the experience I got from beta.

Note: The heat got to it after 10-11 hours straight gaming in an already quite hot room. Had about 5 fps at the ending event where more than 80 players where running around in zergs killing big mobs, one in which I was in ofc.
Do note that I had BIG issues with gpu and cpu temp at the time. I've cleaned the fan now and it did wonders. Really looking forward to the next beta weekend, hopefully 25th May.

We've got to remember that Guild Wars 2 in Beta form is not fully optimized. Right now, the client is heavily dependent on the CPU which is the weak point of the R1 (sometimes the game does not fully utilize the cpu or gpu).

Their system requirements are pretty low compared to some other games that I'm able to run well on my R1 on medium-high settings (sykrim, batman arkham asylum and kingdoms of amalur: reckoning to name a few) .

I'd say R1 users should be able to run the game on medium-high without a hitch but may need to lower settings for WvW or areas with lots of people. Hope this clears some stuff up. :)
