Try a program called Treesize Free, you can view what is taking up so much space. Also do you have System Restore enabled? It can create ALOT of disk space if you set it to create a restore point every day.

Depending on how many of the Office 2010 programs were installed, plus the 2GB of games, and a gig or so of music, sure, you could lose 13GB.

What seems suspicious is having 411GB free in a 500GB drive, unless maybe it has more than the 10GB factory recovery partition set aside, or there is some kind of backup program as mentioned.

If you don't see anything suspicious in add/remove programs or systems folders, then downloading something to be able to view whats hogging all the space would probably help you out.

Gotta figure that some of that space is the fact that measuring space isn't round numbers. Second it takes space for all that nice formatting too. Thirdly you have a recovery partition somewhere on there as well. 411 out of 500 sounds in the right ballpark taking all the above into account.
