I can use an HDMI to connect to my 32'' TV no problem..but I get no audio from the TV speakers, only from my R1 speakers. I have looked around and can not find out how to fix this..I feel like this is some dumb easy fix though! Help!

Go to the speaker icon in the task bar and left click on it.
Now select the 'playback devices' option.
This should bring up a sound panel where you will see your notebook speakers going off like frogs in a sock.
You will also see your HDMI High Definition audio connections too.
All you have to do is select the HDMI interface you wish to use and Bob's your aunty.
Left click on the audio interfaces to see a list of options.
You can play around with the setting as different services can be directed to direct interfaces.
Having sound/music playing as you switch helps confirm the process, but may stall the application (Winamp), but a quick tap on the play button kicks it off again.
Now we can all dance again like we did when we got our first party frocks. -
The one problem...no matter what I do, I can not get HDMI out to show up on my audio preferences. I have show disabled devices checked as well. I tried installing the audio drivers (lower then what I had) from dells website, but nothing shows up still.
I am running on the most up to date NVIDIA driver. -
try updating or reinstalling your audio drivers as well.

I did that as well..I also want to confirm with an R1 user, it will support HDMI audio out correct? What drivers are R1 users using that support it?
-
Do you have the Intel HD Audio driver installed?
-
Did you update to the newest nvidia drivers? The non switchable ones?
I did that and lost hdmi audio outputs.
