It first happened when installing the BETA 275.xx driver but then it wouldn't install the 267.xx driver either. Which i had previously.
I went to control panel uninstalled everything. Driver sweeper. CCleaner.
Still same issue....
anything?

Update: Interestingly enough... even though the installation "fails" the driver doesnt install these components. Are they necessary?

I got mine to work after using driver sweepers and cc cleaner it failed the first time when I tried it the second time it said my pc needed to be restarted after a restart it worked fine might have to do with where I downloaded it from I got this one from nvidia and it was slightly larger than one I received from a forum elsewhere.
NVIDIA DRIVERS 275.27 BETA -
I got mine from NV too. Weird. I mean it updates everything except the NV update portion which isnt too important so I guess I can live with it. Strange that it suddenly happens after nearly 6months.

i have a very similar issue i tried installing the driver dozens of times because i just fresh installed windows. now my res is a crappy 1024x768 and i cant connect to my monitor via vga
-
download the driver from Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers
i did that and it worked perfectly -
Anything else besides Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies is non-official therefore is most likely NOT compatitible. (besides Welcome to Dell Technical Support of course)
