    Hey there;

    I just picked up a second-hand M11x R1 with a rather meager 160GB hard-drive. I'd like to upgrade this and I'm looking at the Hitachi Travelstar 500B SATA II drive with 16mb cache. My question is whether this drive is compatible - is SATA II going to work?

    Even SATA-3(6GB) would work, just not to it's potential.

    M11xR1 is designed for SATA-2(3GB).

    I lot of people plum for the Seagate XT 500GB hybrid SSD(4GB)/HDD.
