I have a M11x R-2 with 2 gb of memory.Thinking about upgrading one of the stick of memory from 1 to 2 giving me a total of 3. Will this give me any increase in speed. Also do you knwo the best site to get memory?

Yes. The footprint of mine (though it's an R1) is about 1.30GB at idle so I'm very glad I got 4 gigs of ram.

If you're capable of working a screw driver then you should have no problem replacing memory. Just make sure the notebook is turn off first.

LOL. This made me laugh, Thanks Slickie. (I'm sure it's probably actually happened where someone doesn't turn it off)

Can either you Achilles, or anyone with a Momentus xt please tell me how drastic the performance difference is? I keep reading stuff that says the performance increase isn't noticeable, and that only 4 gigs of SSD isn't enough to make a huge difference.

Yes, but it's also got a lot of good test results and explanations of why it's a superior drive to even the best 7200rpm drives.
