    Hello everyone,

I might be ordering a m11x this week, but before I do, I was wondering if anyone had any experience as far as running Aion on their m11x. If I do order the specs would be this:

    I-7 640UM
    4 gb ram
    500 gb hard drive
    GeForce GT 335M 1024MB

Would this be enough to run Aion at full capacity? Thank you in advance for any and all help any of you may provide.

Yes, I saw that already, however its not a very long video, nor do they hit any high volume or traffic areas that might strain the laptop much. Also, I think I might go with this laptop but I will only really be using it to play Diablo 3 when it comes out and Aion. So I was wondering if anyone played it extensively and what their experience with it was. i am also wondering if anyone has the I5 520UM and if that's possible to run it at full or close to full capacity. If so, then I might save the extra money and go with that.

However, thank you for posting the video for me, I appreciate it.

well it has throttling problems (I think). Some people report garbage FPS in some games but I haven't seen that yet

That was my wow FPS, give you an idea. Diablo 3 will no doubt require more specs than the M11x has to offer. Just a guess though

Thanks again for the reply. I think I am gonna go with it. As far as Diablo 3, maybe by the time that comes out I'll have a new desktop. For now though I wanted something portable and can play games. Thanks again.

Although, now that I think about it....if the m11x can play Crysis and such, what would make you think Diablo 3 would require more resources? I'm not challenging you (I know it's tough to understand someone through text sometimes.), but I was wondering if you had any insight to that, that I am not aware of. And I know that if the m11x can run one game, it doesn't mean it can run another, however even just from the screen shots, I would think crysis to be the more hardware dependent game.

from what I figure, D3 will use a more powerful engine sort of like comparing SC1 and SC2. Starcraft is such a basic game with maps preloaded rather than continually loading new environments such as MMO's, but the hardware requirements for SC2 is still not too lenient for a RTS.

I think that blizzard will try to up the graphics on D3 to the level where the M11x won't be able to support it. Blizzard games that I've noticed tend to use more MHz power rather than cores. Pretty sure none of the blizzard games even use 4 cores like Crysis maybe would.

D3 should work just fine on the M11x.. judging by the trailer footage it looks only marginally more advanced than WoW.

The main thing is, I am just hoping it can run Aion good...from looking at the specs it shouldn't be a problem, but I am wondering how an I5-520Um would do. I think I am gonna go with the I7, but if I don't have to, I would rather save the money.

With the way Blizzard is releasing games, I'm 100% certain D3 will be a flop. Considering D2 lacked any creativity or reason to play it compared to the first, so hey don't worry about the crappy game!! Hahahah

That said I'm also certain by the way Blizzard releases their games that you will have the option to turn settings down, I'm sure D3 will run fine on an m11x when it is released. The real question is... who will still have one in 2 years lol.

From my understanding people have told me recently that processors are the main component behind mmos because they do all the netcoding for other players while your playing with them in the massive role play. When I get my m11x pritty much all I will probubly play is aion, will it handle good? Yes, you just will have to tweak it a bit, but the processor you cant tweak so that might be a determining factor when judging if aion will be playable or not.

I'm just gonna get it with the I7 then. If the one in the you tube link posted earlier in this thread didn't have a problem, I don't think an overclocked I7 should have a problem.
