When you was using your compressed air, was your fan spinning fast?

Or did you pin it down with a toothpick/made sure the fan was spinning only a little when cleaning?

I'm guessing the first option which means it's a hardware failure which software wont resolve. Open up your laptop and have a look at the fan, you might have forced the fan to "go backwards" putting it out of alignment for example.

If option two, well it's too much of a coincidence to occur naturally I'm afraid.

my model is a R1 and when i was cleaning it, it was on. i'ma try the toothpick thing. thing is that my battery is really bad and doesn't charge. it's strange becuase it was fixed on it's own but as soon as i shut it off the problem came back. right now i'm running a diagnostic through it's own hardware becuase i do remember me runing it b4 when it fixed. it's crazy since my comp always states that i have this battery problem i can't log in to the bios.

Plug it in? Did you blow the compressed air into the fan???? That's counter productive. You have to take it apart and clean it that way.

I just use a vacuum cleaner and suck the dust out of the input vents.

When the notebook is switched off.

On my Desktop PC with it stripped down I though I had a small dead animal stuck in the inner vent filters. Just dusts.

If you're out of warranty, get a PC repair shop to have a look at it.

May just need the fan replaced if it's been fritzed.
