Ok I have had my M11xr1 for a year now and just 2 weeks after getting the hinge/lcd fixed the hard drive up an died.

I talked to Alienware and they sent me a new Hard drive and OS win7 flash drive to get back up an running again.

    BUT

Since the hard drive failed, and I didnt have the ability to save anything (no portable burner or delldatasafe thing), the FLashdrive is just the OS Win7. No drivers, no instructions on how to fix my M11x back to the way i got it. Nothing works; the wifi, the colors, Nvidia card is off. Just a netbook with Win7.

I am downloading all the drivers off of dell support under the M11xR1. But I dont know which i really need and which are not for my system (like I didnt have the bluetooth in my version)

Since this forum is full of M11x users that are more Pc minded than I am, a ask for anyones help to this major problem that has falling on my poor M11x.

You're literally doing everything right, if you don't have Bluetooth don't dl it.

    Pretty simple.

    1. Chipset

    2. Application - OSD

    <<< reboot the computer >>>

    3. Than all the other drivers with the exception of these last three (3) that need to be installed in this order:

    4. Confirm in the Device Manager that the Intel Chipset Graphics is installed. If so, go to step 5. If not, reboot the computer again to confirm installation.

    <<< reboot the computer >>>

    5. Video – Nvidia

    <<< reboot the computer >>>

    6. Application – Command Center

Only install drivers for what you have.

    Edit:
So far so good got most things up a running.
nvm searching i found that the logo is tied to the Bios ver.5.
