Right so I have had my M11x for nearly 2 years now and the lack of wwan really bothers me. So I decided to install the 2 aerials behind the keyboard.

All has gone well until I screwed the screen back onto the chassis. I have stripped the thread on 2 of the holes so now only one side of the hinge is properly attached. It is now loose. Any ideas what I can do?

Measure the screw and buy the appropriate screw tap on ebay or at a hardware store.

How the heck did you manage that with both screws??? As has been advised this is an alloy part so you can re-tap with care. Also depending on how bad the striping is you can try loctite this should hold it for you.

Dell replaced my screen a few months ago. However after the tech guy left I realised the back of the screen near the hinge touched the laptop so it wouldn't close properly. So I added some plastic shimming to the screen to try and remedy this. I think what happened is that not enough of the screw thread was engaged in the hole as a result so I stripped some of the thread away.
I have bought a tap and some longer screws so this should sort it out.
I've taken some photos, I'll post them when I've sorted it.
