*UPDATE*- I just reinstalled the Seagate stock HHD and ran respawn. So I now have a "factory install" and would like to somehow transfer that to my SSD. What is the best, most painless way to do this? Are there any free softwares that I can use? I ordered a cable from amazon which will be here tomorrow... Any help would be greatly appreciated! BTW, I plan on making new recovery discs after I get this flashed... Lol.
So I purchased a Samsung 830 SSD 128GB off of Newegg a few weeks ago and decided to finally install it today.
I have the M11x R2 with the i7 and stock 250gb 7200 seagate momentus. I make the respawn recovery discs when I got the laptop in July of 2010.
I installed the SSD and connected my external DVD drive and entered BIOS to make sure it was set to ACHI (already set and listed Samsung SSD as hard drive) then I set the boot order to CD/DVD.
I then allowed Windows to load the files and then was prompted to select factory recovery or computer restore. I tried both and got errors of drive is not compatible, please install drive with at least 232GB to continue!?!
So how do I do a fresh install with the respawn if it won't let me use this drive due to size? I don't have the software or a cable to flash the new drive with the Seagates info. Plus it really is time to start fresh.
Any ideas on how to work around this? Please help, it's my first SSD install and I'm unsure how to proceed.
Thanks!

Here is a cheeky guide to help get windows 7 running again on your SSD.
1. Download this legal iso of windows 7 Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life. Select your flavour 64 or 32 bit.
2. Use Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool to create a bootable USB stick (8GB to 16GB required).
3. Once installed use key on bottom of laptop.
Now try and run Alien Respawn and see if that works.

I saw this when searching trying to find an answer. Thank you, I might just give it a try.
Does anyone know of a good free software as an alternative to Acronis that I can use to flash the SSD with what is currently on my Seagate?
Thanks for all the help!
