I'm guessing it has something to do with the SP campaign being made with the Unreal 3 engine while the MP is made with Dice's Frostbite engine

The good news? The SP campaign has native support for an XBox 360 controller for Windows.

Based on this development, I've gotten rid of the 189 drivers and went to the 260.89 beta drivers.

I sure hope Nvidia wasn't full of BS when they said they'd have a fix for this in 30-60 days.

Or at least find an online game I enjoy as much as BF that doesn't employ PB.

I still can't believe that now you have to switch drivers within one game because of Nvidia's slowness and by PB's stubbornness.

I also realized, bugging PB is never going to get anywhere because they don't get their $$ from a consumer base of gamers. They get paid by the developer/publisher. There's no way here for the customer to protest with their wallet, unless Publishers lost massive sales due to PB. But they won't because this is only an Optimus problem. So PB doesn't care about the gamer because they get paid by the publisher.

Only going to and through Nvidia is going to fix this.

Until then it looks as if my M11x will now be my primary machine for SP games only. Ahh Yeah, Sucka!

We all gotta keep the faith that Nvidia's going to fix this.

    Cheers

I wouldn't buy any games that use PB until they fix the PB problem. The game will be cheaper over time anyway.

You can still play MP with 189 drivers but SP crashes and need different drivers.

The SP campaign isn't that bad. It's really fun to play with an XBox 360 pad. The shooting mechanics feel really good with the controller. And there' some fun gamplay mechanics in the game as well.

So for that it's worth buying when the price drops.
