I know this has been posted, but I cant find the thread anywhere. What program do you have to edit in the optimus whitelist in order for it to stop using the Nvidia card and use the integrated instead.

Doesn't this use the CPU instead of the Integrated GPU since your disabling hardware acceleration (GPU)?

When I force google chrome to use the IGP and then use the nvidia GPU tool and play flash even at 1080p it says the nvidia GPU is off.

This is with hardware acceleration ON.. so i think hardware acceleration uses the IGP if you blacklist your browser under the nvidia control panel.

Yes, that's how it works. You probably always want acceleration turned on, just not the 335 in 9.7 out of 10 situations.

I just set my optimus to use IGP for firefox, nvidia never kicked in ever no matter what I watch.

^same thing works with Chrome with the 258.xx drivers

Doubling down on what's been said, don't stop gpu acceleration because putting it on the cpu means more 'turbo boosting' which translates to lower battery life.
