^^What? And BC2 runs really badly on the R1. Expect 22FPS on the lowest settings possible without making the game under a 1000x700 Res.

Not sure what fps but i ran it briefly last night after it finished downloading. I put everything on the lowest setting. It ran ok 90% of the time, with it being a bit choppy during a lot of action. I'm going to optimize tonight to see if I can improve it.

I haven't played much but at medium settings it's fine for me on a server with 17 people, but my GPU/CPU is overclocked quite a bit.
Edit: That's with external monitor at 1600x900 resolution.

Making sure it runs on dx 9 should help a little.

With heavy tweaking (cfg file) and a TME pinmod it runs reasonably well (Avg of 30fps *most* of the time).

The game is massively CPU limited and hence any boost you can do to improve cpu performance/reduce cpu load will help.

Its playable on the R1 on low settings. About 20-25fps. Its more playable on the R2 for sure.

use preferably dx10, impoves performance, dx9 decreases performance and makes the game ugly as hell

if your cpu is pinmodded and you overclocked your GPU, and did the network throttling tweak, it runs great.

What is the network throttling tweak? I assume it was part of Stevens guide.

Really? on my R1 and R2 I gain 10-25fps (depending on the laptop) for setting it in DX9 over 10.

i think the 2nd comment have the info let me check, and I was playing right now, well laggy sometimes, but playable

    EDIT: here it is

To configure the throttling rate, change the value of the NetworkThrottlingIndex registry entry under the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\
    Name : NetworkThrottlingIndex
    Value type : DWORD
Value data : From integer 1 through integer 70 (Decimal) (Decimal)

By default, the value for the NetworkThrottlingIndex registry entry is set to 10. When the NetworkThrottlingIndex registry entry does not exist, the behavior resembles the default behavior. Network throttling can be completely turned off by setting the value to FFFFFFFF (hexadecimal). You must restart the computer after you make a change to the value of the NetworkThrottlingIndex registry entry.

Urrr, other way around. DX10 uses new features which makes the game look better, but gives you more FPS drips. Ugly looking=Better performance. Rule of Thumb.

Just search it up, I did a re-post of his original post about throttling. And it will only help on playing multiplayer. So not really great for SP people. And the tweak works for other games as well, like TF2.
