    Damn 81 running . My desk top pc doesn't even use that many.

    no kidding! i thought i did a good job getting my idle processes down to 45 but less than 20 :eek: :p :)

    A number are simply alienware processors for the control panel and the HD sensor. There are a whole heap that can be removed just by using MSCONFIG without having the go to drastic levels.

    Basically any program you install these days will toss something into start-up which really needs to be disabled.

    wow i have around 80-90 idle. as long as i keep getting great battery life im not worried

    less than 30 I was shocked, less than 20 geez.
    I havealmost 7 to 8 svchost.exe running at a time, is this normal?
    Never looked into it.

    Supposedly it's normal, although some viruses/malware can hide under the svchost banner. I wouldn't worry about it if you have a decent AV
