Is there anyway to disable the m11xR3's battery being charged while it is plugged in? I have tried bt meter but it won't work on the R3.

There's an option in the BIOS that enables/disables battery charging on the R1. I haven't tried it though. And I'm not sure if the R3 has the same setting.

BeastRider is correct, you can modify the behaviour of battery charging on the M11xR1 within BIOS

On the M11xR3 there is the BIOS option "Charger Behaviour".

The M11xR1 didn't allow BIOS changing to remain disabled upon restart/start-up on the M11xR1 at a later time.

This meant continually disabling battery charging on each restart of the M11xR1.

I have not heard whether battery charging can be disabled once in the M11xR3 BIOS and then remain disabled, until manually re-enabled.

Lettuce know whether disabling battery charging can be set once and remain disabled on the M11xR3.

I went into the bios and disabled the battery. The setting saves even after multiple reboots. Thanks!
