I am on the verge of getting an M11x, but I was wondering if anyone can just try something for me.

Dolphin 2.0 was just released and it plays most GC and Wii games at full speed. Could someone who owns an M11x download Dolphin 2.0 and try Zelda Wind Waker on it and let me know what type of FPS you get with the audio on.

If you don't have Zelda WW, then any game would do. Just let me know the pluggins you used and the FPS you received. If this works well, then I can't see a reason why not to get this.

If you could, it would be greatly appreciated.

I just tried it out. Looks like Wind Waker is running between 50% and 70% speed. I didn't change any settings, but dual core speed up was on and I have my processor overclocked to 1.7Ghz. Looks like GCN emulation is a little too slow on the m11x.

There's no way the M11x will run it well. It plays at about 60% speed on my quad core, running at 2GHz. Overclocking to 2.5GHz boosts it up to about 75%-still quite a bit slower than the ideal.

The problem with Gamecube emulation is that it doesn't feature the speedhacks that Pcsx2 has for PS2 emulation-those speedhacks make games silky smooth where they would otherwise be unplayable (in many cases, at least).

    EviLCorsaiR,

On my i7 2.6 I get full speed with 9x SSAA and V-Sync on. So you may want to check out some of the settings.

Btw, this Dolphin doesn't use more then a dual core anyway. So anything above a dual core will not do anything with it.

    HitCtrlAltDel,

Do you mind testing the settings from this link:

    Thanks again!

Everything up to the GC and PS2 era should be playable at full speed, no problem.

Exbee on the m11x? It doesn't even have 1920x1080.

I honestly dont see why it wouldnt run it to be honest, mw2 is more graphic intensive. I play WoW at ultra settings with no problem.

Let hope RAQ gets back to us quick because I want to see if it'll play my good 'ol zelda games.

Alucard77 you think Twilight Princess will be a different story performance wise compared to Wind Waker?

Because emulation takes a lot more horsepower than a regular game.

K well I ran Zelda Wind Waker instead. I did use the settings on that WW wiki page listed. And ya it ran around 15ish frames on cpu OC, 335m gfx, and Intel G2 SSD. It ran that way until it crashed. Sound was choppy as well.

I will go ahead and say this is too much for the M11x as either the CPU is too weak for the emulator or Dolphin is not coded well enough (I am inclined to believe the former even though Dolphin still has some ways to go). From what I read, people were recommending at least a 2 ghz cpu for Dolphin 2.0.

Thanks RAQ, so the CPU for the M11x is weak sauce

    Thanks RAQ,

Not what I wanted to hear, but thabnks for taking the time to test. I actually think that emu is sweet. So it is definately the CPU on the M11X.

Oh well, I guess I will wait for the revision of it with a better processor.
