Sup guys,I made a thread a while back about this busted headphone jack on my M11x. After calling Dell, they said they would send someone over to FIX IT, I didn't have to send it in or anything. Before this, I went to GeekSquad at bestbuy to see if they could fix it and the guy said they would have to send it in, which would take up to 3 weeks. I called other places and they were charging 100 dollars.

    THANKS DELL!

That is exactly why I always buy my extended warranties from Dell. If you buy from some place like Best Buy, or even Squaretrade, they pretty much just take the laptop and ship it to Dell. If you get an Advanced Protection warranty from Dell, then they send out a technician next-day with the part in-hand to fix whatever problem that you have. If you use your warranty even once, then it pays for itself.

Wait, was it a basic warranty or was it an accidental/premium one?
Cause it seems if you upgrade to the accidental/premium ones, you get treated better...

That is definitely the case with the accidental / premium warranty. If you have only the Basic plan, then you need to mail your laptop in for most major issues.
