    IEEE 1394 controller install failed

    I just got my alienware m11x today and every time it starts i get this IEEE 1394 drive install failed problem. How do I fix this?

    I dont get why the system is trying to install a drive when I have nothing plugged to the 1394. any1 know what this issue is related to?

    yea I tried that and still didnt work. I guess I need to restore to factory edition to maybe fix that. But I dont use firewire anyways so I just went to BIOS and disabled the port so now the failed to install notice doesnt come up every time I open my laptop. Thanks tho man.
