Hello great people of this forum! I was wondering, what are some tips for increasing my 3DMark06 score? My friend who has a Acer Aspire 5745g has a 7014 score, and I get a measly 5900+ or 6300-. I want to get a higher score then him, he has a nVidia 330M (less CUBA shaders then 335M.) and a i7 620m something. Anyway to pwn his score? Rep+ for any genius who gives me tips ;) .

Overclock to 3Ghz and apply those clocks in your sig. That should get you well over 9000.

I haven't done the ridiculous GPU OC 3Dmark06 benchmark. I doubt it will run the test anyways. Right now, I haven't OC'ed the GPU even the slightest/stock. I'll try your GPU OC :)

It won't. Nobody in this thread has complained of house fires with even larger overclocks.

    So it's 704 is unstable?

If you touched the bottom of my M11X R1, you wouldn't feel a thing in your hands for 1 week. I haven't run 3DMark06 with the OC I did, so, 704 is not unstable? Sweet, I'll check it out right now. Time to get the ol' screwdriver out and borrow a lot of cooling pads from my friend  .

So? As long as the M11x can keep running without crashing, it's ok.

You tell me. We haven't seen anything as much as a screenshot from you. You should know if it's unstable.

But I'm confused by what you said here:

Can you please clarify what you mean? Does loading 3DMark BSOD your system?

Go right ahead and get those results.

:p If you think 704mhz is going to be stable I would have done it long ago. Plus gpu ocing isn't going to get you anywhere. 3DMark06 is cpu dependant. Best way to increase your score is going to be upping the cpu speed. Temps shouldn't be an issue in the M11x unless your playing with voltage.

Buy an M15x or wait for an M11xR3.
