So yea, I installed all the drivers from the Dell support website.

I went into Device Managers, and it says I still have 2 "Base System Devices", meaning 2 devices still don't have drivers.

Does anyone know what they may be?

Is one the SD card reader? Some wierd jmicron setup. IIRC, somebody mentioned the Dell drivers for the card reader didn't work (OP in the m11x USB recover key thread).

    Had this problem myself.

Like Jeremy said, it's the card reader, both of them.

Right click on them in the Device Manager and do an automatic update, it'll grab drivers and install them and everything will work fine.

lol. Thats weird. I have a R1 and for some odd reason the firewire port doesnt work. Yes I know firewire's lame but I use it, ok.

My card reader installed fine. Just the firewire. The hdd and the port works as I dual boot ubuntu and I can use the hdd from the ubuntu side but not windows. Its stopped working since I formatted. And yes I tried windows update and installed all the drivers. I even installed the drivers in the order dell recommends.

I right clicked on them and told them to automatically update. But it didn't update successfully.

    EDIT:

Nvm I had the damn updater off.
