Curious if anyone knows, is there a later driver for the Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller? Mine shows 8.9.4.1004, this sounds a bit old... I added an OCZ Vertex 2 120GB SSD, and my CrystalDiskMarks seem a bit low (about 20% off). This could be normal, I am still learning about the ways SSD drives behave.

BTW, I cloned the HDD, not a fresh install of Windows 7, does it make that big a difference in this case?

    True.

    IntelĀ® ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    Driver Provider: Intel
    Driver Date: 3/03/2010
    Driver Version: 9.6.0.1014

I installed the IntelĀ® Rapid Storage Technology on an M11xR1 with a Seagate 500GB HDD.

No particular reason to install the above. I just went through a phase of "Look at me I'm installing stuff on my M11xR1".

In hindsight there was no benefit for me in installing Rapid Storage Technology.
