I upgraded to the most recent Intel(R) HD Grahpics version 8.15.10.2321.
It came out a bit ago, in March 6th 2011.
I noticed that there were increases in my WEI.
I hope that the new driver enhances performance and battery life although I will never know the real answer to it.

    P.S.
I use Nvidia Graphic driver 260.99 which I think is the most stable one. I don't use overclock.
I also upgraded to the newest version of Realtek High Definition Audio driver.
