On craigslist, I am talking to someone who has brand new m11x for sale. The specs are 4gb ram, 500gb hard drive, and the processor is the i5 1.86 ghz. He wanted 700 for it but is willing to take 650. Is this a good deal for one or should I hold off on it? I basically want to get it to play black ops and bad company 2 online. Thanks!

Good deal? Yes. Potentially sketchy? Very.

Be wary of craigslist and other sites like that. It sounds like a good idea but an ounce of caution may be warranted.

How do you plan to get it from him? The seller's method of wanting payment should tell you if its a scam or not. Good deals on the m11x do exist on craigslist though. I got my r2 i5 for $500 brand spankin' new.

We are supposed to meet at a starbucks so I can see it. I will go there and if it's legit, I will get it from him.

I think that deal is too good to be true if it is brand new with the i5 and 500gb hd, considering the same config brand new from alienware is $999 not including tax+shipping and if u add the $50 coupon then it still would be around $950 not including tax + shipping

That is too good to be true if it is $650-700 brand new, but if let us know if it is legit and if it is you are lucky.

If you're talking about mine (not really stolen - left behind, and then sketchy cab companies when trying to recover it) in New Orleans was an R1.

Most scams on craiglist are people tryingn to get you to ship to africa or some other countries and asking you to set up accounts with sketchy 3rd party dealers. If its new cant he just return it for his money? Or atleast some money if theres a restocking fee? probably not his would be my guess

Just ask the dude to provide an e-mail receipt so you can "make sure that the warranty will transfer". If he seems reluctant then you know something might be fishy.
