So I had an issue with my drivers in which my gaming performance was terrible and i couldn't restore it to how it was before but that isn't the problem. to counter this problem I thought I might as well install a fresh copy of windows with the disc provided (also to get with of the bloatware) After doing so my system was up and running and clear of crap so i headed over to the Dell UK website to get me some drivers. now here is where I encountered a problem. Firstly I downloaded a pack of alienware wallpaper and profile pictures off the Dell website which i was glad is found and one of the pictures is the log on screen picture. now i was wondering how do I turn this picture back into my log on screen instead of the Windows 7 default. Also ive been having an issue trying to get the damm wifi to work  firstly i am not sure which driver to download so i download the Dell driver for the Wireless WLAN 1520 Half MiniCard ... which didnt work :( , Can anyone advise me on what i have to do to solve these problems?

You have to do some more work to change the login screen but there are guides on how to do that

Try doing a manual install of the driver instead of "Search for this driver automatically"

But your card should be the 1520 as it's the default.

I had the same on mine. I extracted the driver as usual but updated the WiFi through device manager. (navigating to where you unzipped the driver)

If you've installed drivers from Synaptics (and for two-finger scroll and gestures you're going to want to) then there are certain portions of AlienTouch that won't work. My advice is not to use CC for anything other than AlienFX, and if you /really/ insist on it AlienSense. The rest of the CC components are redundant controls that Windows or the device settings already do well.

Instead of AlienTouch change your touchpad settings via Control Panel > Mouse > Device Settings > Settings
