Ok my M11X r2 has arrived via Penske truck! lol I'm still looking it over but it seems to be fine. All the lights have all the colors. I only see a couple of very small gaps in 4 places. At the top of the LCD where it meets the frame in the little finger hold to lift the lid. They all might have this I don't know.

Then the smallest gap to the bottom right of the left grill and to the outside of both grills where the seems are I only know they are there because the grill lights shine through them.

I only point this out because there has been some post recently about fit and finish.

Also my hinges are ever so slightly misaligned. I can't tell yet if the screen is touching any keys. My keyboard is a little wavy but hardly noticed. The keys feel much better than the ones my eee netbook.

I really like the size of the M11X I wanted something a little bigger than the 10.1" eee but not as big as a 13" the M11x fits that bill nicely.

I will post more on this thread later as I continue to tinker with it.

Oh just for any other new M11X owners. I thought I was having a problem with the led in the alien head power button. I set it to glow green when on AC power and red on battery. When unplugged it stayed red as programed. But on ac it looked like it was set to morph from green to red. It took a min to realize it was doing that because it must switch between charge and ac power when it is charged. If I'm wrong someone correct me please.

I am very happy with how it looks and yet to really see how it will perform.

For the record it is an R2 with i5,4gigs of ram, blue tooth and 320 hdd.

Thanks guys, After see some of the post here about bad fit and finish after I ordered I got a little worried. I made up my mind I was going to be nit picky over mine looking as good as it performs. But all I could find is what I posted. None of it a big enough deal to make this machine look bad just bad blank.

I made up my mind to help others that are on the fence one way or the other. So good bad or ugly I was going to post here what my unit looked like and ran like.

I'm having fun changing the lights and all that jazz. Now I just need to figure out the winamp plug in to get the keyboard and stuff dancing and I'll be a real happy camper. :D

Hey, just so you know, my r1 has that exact same gap on the top of the LCD screen. It bothered me at first but now I rarely notice it. The only time I do notice it is if a light is shinning directly towards the screen and usually at that point I'm more concerned with the glare from the light than the little gap.

    Happy gaming!
