Ok I just reinstalled Windows on my m11x and I even followed Batboy's guide to a T. My problem is that the hot key for switching graphics (fn+f1) doesn't work and it appears that my fan for the nvidia gpu is always running even when on the intel gpu. Any suggestions?

Isn't it fn+F6 to switch graphics?

Correct. OP, FN+F1 is to switch between LCD and external display, etc.

FN+F6 is what you are looking for ;)
