To those about to upgrade we salute you.

Why not enjoy the M11x for a few weeks before you trash it with upgrades?

It'll work just fine without upgrading, and unless we're talking extreme gaming you won't gain much anyway.

BIOS A05 for the M11xR1 SU7300 should install fine when instructions are followed.

In the past I used the Dell/Nvidia Hybrid graphics set listed in the Dell downloads section without any problems.

My M11 came with the correct BIOs already installed.

As for the paperwork, log onto Dell ? The Official Site | Dell, click My Account. Once you have logged in, there is paperwork there for your invoice etc.

Mine came with A05 and the latest official drivers--no need to update.

For vga drivers, I would wait to update until you've tried your games. So far I haven't found one that struggles. Note that you cannot use the drivers direct from nvidia unless you're willing to run exclusively in discrete graphics mode. Otherwise, the only update option is to use one of the community-made driver packages since Dell has yet to post new drivers.

No. Make sure to keep your laptop elevated as it will heat up to around 50C if you're gaming and such.
