This is their new flagship portable model gaming laptop and I'm reading nothing but negative reviews on it. Not sure what to do =/

Review the laptop for your needs to the ground.
Oh, I see you cancelled the order. Well... this is a bit awkward.

Yea. Too many BGA issues with the 8xx series. Surprised there wasn't a recall like a few years back.

I keep hearing this - can you point me to a good thread to clarify what the issues there are?

Not necessarily. As long as portabiliy is your main priority, then you didn't make a mistake. You'll of course have to compromise on CPU performance, but you'll gain better battery life as a result.

He has cancelled the AW13 order and instead bought the AW14.

I'm all for relevant discussion but just trolling commentary is pointless - make a point and state a case, but just dropping negative comments without backing them up in the post doesn't do anything constructive, but I guess that's what passes for discussion these days.

The Eurocomm M4 comes to mind as does the upcoming MSI (forget the series number), surely there are others.

Oh I know. I want to see if he had any more relevant information other than "this sucks"

That guy had two review units and did a thorough review. Tons of charts, benchmarks and other pertinent comparatives. 15 pages worth. Brilliant work.

I guess he got crushed when in the Discus comments he read what one reader wrote, "TL;DR ... seriously, brevity is your friend doood. T.M.I."
