    Keyboard needed...

    Beer and M11x keyboards don't mix.
    I have tried pulling it apart and cleaning it but there's residue in all the crevices and it remains sticky despite my best efforts, plus a few of the fragile key mechanisms seem to have broken. So I need a new one...

    Paypal is not an option, and it seems every eBayer with an M11x keyboard ONLY accepts Paypal, which is very frustrating. I tried ordering one from AliExpress but it seems they've taken my money and run off with it.

    So is there anyone here who may have a spare M11x keyboard by any chance? Or any bright ideas how else I could get my hands on one (in Australia btw)?

    Arrived today and my little one is back in action! Thanks again, L_Porras (+rep)

    On a side note, for others who order through them, for some odd reason the only backlight color is red... If I select any 'cool' colour, it turns off; and the 'warm' colors simply correspond to slightly different brightnesses of the same red. For me this is a very very minor issue because my laptop has been out of action for a long time and the red isn't so bad so I really couldn't care less, but maybe this is a problem for you.

    Glad you got it working, thanks for sharing the results. Have you called them to check if the red-only option is normal with their keyboards? I don't think it is but I may be wrong.

    I highly doubt it is, but I honestly couldn't care less, so it's not worth worrying about.
    It may even be because the model is slightly wrong perhaps- When I was putting it in I noticed the ribbons were the not orientated the right way so I had to bend them over on themselves. I'm not sure if this is what I'm supposed to do or if there was a slight change in how the keyboard plugs into the mobo between R1/2 and R3 (I have R3). Everything else functions fine, the color of the backlight is totally insignificant to me (at least it's not pink!).
