The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Laptop keeps shutting down :/

    I posted earlier how i could not get my laptop to repair/restore or backup any files!
    Now, twice today... in the middle of doing nothing, just browsing around... the laptop freezes for 5 minutes then turns itself off :confused:

    Any reason why it should do this all of a sudden?
    I've had the laptop barely 2 months.

    get an external drive and copy off your files, then contact Alienware.
