Looks like they accidentally copied the vantage score over to the 3dmark chart.

That's what I thought, but I wanted to throw that question out to the community before purchasing. I wasn't completely sure because I would think Laptopmag is a little more careful about posting results like this.

I am pretty pysched! I just bought a new one from Alienware - the i7 version! I realize I use my Air a lot more for gaming than I thought I would so I figure I would step up. I really like the fact it is as powerful as a MBP 15" yet the portability of the 13".

But dont fret if you dont break the 10k mark most dont I just have a freak of a machine. Some post numbers near 11k but they altered the res of the test which boost the score a bit.

Actually, I am use to playing COD Black Ops and Crysis 2 on my 2010 Air at around 15-25 fps max (depending on the scene) - this is at low resolution and settings. If I can squeeze out 35-40 fps at native resolution, I would be extremely happy. I avoided the Witcher 2 and Deus Ex knowing that my Air would ignite after launching the game. I was also wondering how the R3 stacks up to the current top of the line 2011 MBP (15 or 17") with the best AMD gpu? Would my new R3 show better 3DMark scores and faster gameplay?

this is what i found. MacBook Pro (early 2011) (2.2GHz Core i7-2720QM, Radeon HD 6750M, under Windows 7) 10,262. You cant really compare the 2 cause i broke 10k marks but i was overclocked further then I would care to be while gaming my normal gaming benchmarks are around 9850-9900. But for such a small form factor you cant beat the m11xR3

True! I had the R1 at one point and really liked the look and form. Most Mac folks despise the M11x due to the thickness, but it seems thin enough to me for what you can do with it. I think the R3 costs about 50% less than a fully loaded MBP.
