5700DP1, 1,000MHz polling rate, hybrid (true hybrid at that, not requiring a huge base for wireless), rechargeable, perfect size, plethora of buttons, and Logitech's reputation to boot... I'm in!

is it 100% wireless? I haven't seen one wireless mouse that doesn't lag in most demanding games.
-
those buttons looks crappy lol.

Is it bluetooth or do you have to use the tiny usb that it comes with it?
I have 3 bluethooth logitech mice that cost me about 90 bucks each, and all had the lag, so I just moved on to wired G9 and never went back. -
Guys, READ!
It's 2.4GHz wireless. Has a tiny dongle (yes, you can leave that on at all times as it adds no bulk, but it you lose an USB port). It is the smallest wireless dongle setup you will find. With Razers and Microsoft, you require a huge docking station to be able to be wireless.
This is 'wireless'. You will not experience the lag you do with BT. It has a 1000Hz polling rate (updates 1000 times per second) in both modes. -
"Now, we told you these buttons were fantastic, and we weren't kidding around -- the positioning, responsiveness and flexibility impressed us at every turn. The four triggers on the left side have ridges aligned so that you can press any individual one just by slightly shifting your thumb, and the main left and right mouse buttons require so little effort to depress that you can activate them at the apex of the mouse. With a single finger at the right point, you can press any of three left mouse buttons with a single touch -- with the proper grip, only G8, G11 and the dual-mode scroll wheel shifter require any effort to reach. Furthermore, every single button on the device is fully programmable to be a macro, keyboard key or Windows function and you can store and switch between three full profiles of these programmable buttons on the mouse itself, giving a fairly impressive (and admittedly difficult to remember) total of 39 different functions across three modes. We quickly whipped up a productivity mode with copy, paste, task switching, media remote buttons and web shortcuts mapped right to various keys on the mouse, and a gaming mode where we could switch sensitivity, instantly select weapons and reload. Of course, these could just as easily help a rogue rapidly put on a robe and wizard hat, we suppose."
I actually like its looks a lot. Seems very professional. I think this is it for me. Now I just have to wait for Best Buy to get it so I can use my $75.00 gift card with it. -

Looks good, but its not laptop sized. They need to make a G70 and just make it smaller.
Does the nano receiver also support other logitech devices? -
@kent1146: Probably.
@MaxGeek: I think that's what I like about it. I own a MS Explorer Laser 5000 mouse and it's a bit too small for gaming. I rely on my MX518 for true gaming. I feel this will replace both as my every day, every task, mouse.
Besides, it isn't that big now... -

Nice! A little review of it would be awesome. Also, where did you get it from and for how much?!

I am extremely pleased with my current mouse, the Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX, for both gaming and general computing. I am not sure what the magic material on the bottom is but I don't even use a mouse pad anymore (this coming from a guy who anal retentively needed a mouse pad) and solid tracking even on a glass surface rocks.

The two things that I wish the new G700 had that apparently it doesn't are:
1. Darkfield Technology: Really don't understand how Logitech could leave this one out of their new "top-of-the-line" mouse.
2. Unitfying receievr: Same as above. Would be awesome to connect to all their new G-series products while only sacrificing one port. -
Well, I have two guesses why they left those two things out:
1) Technology. Perhaps Darkfield can't be scaled up to the high DPI's that a laser can, and perhaps the Unifying receiver can't be scaled up to the 1000Mhz polling rate that the G700's receiver can.
2) Product differentiation. If the Logitech G700 supercedes the Performance MX in every way, then they pretty much just killed the Performance MX. They need to have some way to differentiate the products, so that there is room for both. -
For #1, it probably lacks the darkfield laser because the laser in the G700 is probably for a different company than the laser in the Anyway MX.
-
What do you mean? It's a Logitech technology. Both mice are Logitech.
