Yeah, but they could label them as A-grade and set the C-grade price.

Thanks for this thread and your inputs guy's. I just ordered a 12" mactruck graphite for 50 bucks so they still have them for all us new M11X owners out there that want good nice looking protection for our little beast.

Hmmm. maybe I'll make a skin for the case of a ferocious looking alien breaking free from a cage!!!!

Well, just received my Mactruck and... As everybody else has said the condition is perfect! 5 minutes with a Stanley knife blade and my M11x is now sitting perfectly inside.

I've trimmed the two small rear side pieces. Rather than replace them ala Slickie, I just sliced about 2mm off each one (you need a very sharp blade for this) Also used the same technique on the two top side pieces. Rather than remove them completely I've just trimmed them down.
One more cut on the bottom padding below the fan intake to just leave a 1cm strip and pulling the remaining larger piece off and thats it. Just gotta bring some label remover spray from work to remove the sticky residue the last bit left behind! Awesome!

Sweet!!!! Due to my hate for Fedex my case should be here tomorrow or next day VIA priority mail. I have new blades for my box cutter and my x-acto. Has anyone put any stickers or stuff on their case or has everyone just left them plain?

:) Mactruck case arrived today!!!!! Gave it a little trim on the padding and I could not be happier. BTW as noted already here my case looks great if it has a blemish or defect I could not find one. Now I need to customize it a little. :D

I might go ahead and install D rings so I don't lose them. Then I was thinking a chain and handcuff. (Well strap and Velcro wrist band.) Maybe some radio active warning labels and bio-hazard label. That should take care of my dislike of crowds. :p

Thanks again for posting all this great intel guys!!!!

Thanks for the conversation on the Mac Truck by RadTech. I received mine today. It's a lot sturdier than what I expected. RadTech was out of the darker color in version 2; so, I purchased the lighter color. I have a friend who will strip it down to the aluminum and anodize it for free. Not sure what color. I'm going to look at some samples before making a decision.

When I purchased my Mac Truck, no coupons would work.

Here's a coupon code they sent in my box: MAYSAVE1. It expires June 3, 2011.

RadTech still has the lighter color in version 2 and both colors in version 1.

People comment on my MacTruck more than they do the M11x. It's perfect for those times when you don't need anything more than your AC adapter and a few small accessories. See my earlier post about the strap along with the Timbuk2 strap pouches.

Thanks, the pouch suggestion is a good idea. Got my MacTruck today - it's in perfect condition and was clearly never even opened before; pretty sweet since the other ones go for $220!! Going to do the pad mods tonight. :D

Received my mactruck today. It is new, not a refurbished scratch and dent. It looks like it was made for the m11x. Get one before they are gone.

Well, thanks guys! After reading this thread I have just ordered a Mactruck for the M11x that I ordered at the weekend. At least I will be able to play with the empty case while I wait for the M11x. :)

Thanks to this thread, I ordered my own MacTruck too, to go with my still-to-arrive m11x. Will let you guys know how it fits :D Am excited! Too bad they didn't have the Graphite color though, but the Aluminum one still looked nice.

Fits like a glove after you cut the pads as described earlier in the post. I got the version 2 aluminum and could not be happier.

Today a decal I ordered from ebay arrived so I added it to the case before taking photos. As can be seen the fit is perfect for the M11X, a couple of the photos make it look as if the M11X doesn't sit flat but that is down to the camera angle and focal length. Enjoy.

Man, silver really does look smexy.

/me ponders how he might justify a new case to the gf...

I've had mine for almost a year now and it's still the best accessory I've bought for the M11x. Pads are still holding up brilliantly. As I've said before this thing is going to outlast the notebook itself.

    MACTRUCK, RADTECK UK POSTAGE PROBLEMS

I must advise UK customers DO NOT purchase and use the default USPS Express delivery method. Costing a rather heafty $45.

    Here is why:

    Item posted 06th July
    Still not arrived 19th July!!

I was given a Tracking Number which was only of use to let me know that customs had it and sat on it for 7 working days. I contacted USPS requesting contact details or how to resolve the issue and get it released to which I received no response.

I have finally tracked down my parcel and am not happy. I understand once you post a package it is out of the companies hands but I think they should put a note on their website when posting oversea's especially in the UK the problems that can happen, another suggestion would be to offer an alternative company for postage to the UK.

Customs have added an extra VAT charge of $24 on top as well as Parcel Force UK adding on top another $12 for delivery (I thought I'd already paid a rather substantial amount for express delivery to my door $45) (My main quibble is for for the extra Parcel Force charge rather than customs which I will be disputing with them). So essentially I have paid more for postage than for the actual product and how customs can justify over 50% mark up on a metal box I will never know (UK VAT is 20%)!

$12 Service Charge from Parcel Force for me to COLLECT the parcel from them after me having to ring round to actually find the parcel.. Service charge.. WHAT SERVICE :D When I go to collect it tonight I shall be asking them to give me $12 for doing their job.

Unfortunately as I stands I'll have to advise other UK customers on notebookreview.com to avoid purchasing from radtech if their suggested delivery method is used.

Just joined the site. Trying to view the pics of the M11x in the Mactruck case. Bought my son one for his new M11x and trying to modify it.
