Hi everybody. I have the latest driver from nvidia. I know I wont be able to switch graphics on the fly. I restart the computer and go onto the switchable setting and I try to install the intel drivers on it for when I need a longer battery life. Is that even possible? Ive tried downloading it from Intel and cant and have looked at the dell website with nothing showing up for it.

One way is to dual boot. Install W7 on separate partitions (1st/2nd). So once you change it to Discrete/Switchable in bios, select the partition accordingly; 1st OS with the latest Nvidia drivers for Discrete mode while the other 2nd OS partition is for Switchable (dell official driver or custom drivers from here).

You can install both drivers just fine. They are not mutually exclusive on the same OS install. I have the latest versions of both. Get the latest from nvidia (310.90) and intel's (HD 3000) web sites, not Dell. And optimus works fine, why are you saying you know you won't be able to switch?
