    Dear Gamers, I need your help. Can you please tell me what type of fps you get on fallout new vegas and at what settings? Can you explain whether it is smooth?

    We recently traded/sold the xbox 360 for a nintendo wii for my wife and son. Fallout isnt on the WII so I am curious what the experience is like for R1. My wife was over 60 percent done when the 360 went south.

    Thanks for your time and effort!

    Best Wishes,

    StevenX

    The game runs terribly at all settings without modifications.
    There is a fix- a D3D9.dll file placed into the executable's directory that makes the game playable at high settings. I got it from NewVegasNexus (link).

    Unless something has changed very recently, New Vegas occasionally ran like crap mostly because of poor design rather than lacking hardware specs.

    @DavyGT....your game is not updated.
    @stevenxowens792 a patch came a while ago fixing all the problems with fps drop, bugs what ever you can find wrong in the game. I got mine Running on high settings with no problem. The only thing is that the pc makes a lot more heat than when you are playing games like bioshock 2.

    With 260.99 running my M11x R1 can run New Vegas (patch 3) on all high with anti-aliasing very smoothly.
