Hello all, i own a M11X R1 i purchased directly form Dell last year, but sadly,my warranty expired on April 2nd and just a week ago, i start having issues with my laptop. Just suddenly is turning off and even if i connected directly to the power.

i checked the battery status LEDs and sometimes is not even turning on. It maybe have a power shorcut but im not sure and i dont want to wasted 150 bucks on a new battery, thats why im asking the experts :)

i see a message on windows saying you may change your battery, but the weird thing is the battery work sometimes, can charge fine and work for a couple of hours too in battery mode.

Any clue guys? or anyone having the same issue?

    thanks in advance!

seeing as your warranty just expired, call dell and _____ ;)

the fact that it is turning off when the power adapter is connected usually means a mobo issue...

lol yeah i thought about it, it was really bad luck :(

im thinking the same, possibly issues with the mobo, but im wondering why windows is advising to replace the battery.

Is better ask for more opinion/advice before any further decision or waste of money :)

thanks for your answer, keep them coming!
