    Hi there,

I recently formatted my m11x and now I installed WoW. It´s working perfectly but when I alttab in and out it gives me a black screen. WHILE still seeing the WoW cursor, hearing the sound and it still reacts on my commands I just keep seeing a black screen. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks!

What video drivers are you running? Try updating the intel drivers and do a clean install of the nvidia ones. If you are playing wow you might as well get the drivers below and run dx11 to fix the issue with optimus and water/sunshaft effects.

Also did you turn on multisampling? I think wow has an issue with that when used on optimus as well. To check go to the wow folder and find the folder. Inside that is a file called config. which you should open in wordpad. Find the value "SET gxMultisampleQuality" and make sure it is set to ""0.000000"". If you have trouble finding it you can just delete the folder and it well reset everything to it's defaults.

The latest 270.xx drivers seem to do this.

Thanks for the replies! @tonkatrain it didnt work

@DeeVu I see. How can I uninstall the driver? Just configuration screen - Delete program - uninstall everything from nvidia?

And which driver should I download to fix this? Can you give me a link?

Go to control panel then programs and features and find the nvidia drivers. You can also download and run the program driver sweeper in safe mode to make sure they are fully uninstalled.

If you are lazy like me you could just download 266 drivers and install them over the newer ones. In rare cases that can cause issues requiring you to do a reinstall but most of the time it works fine. There is a link to drivers that i know work in the thread i linked in my first post.

Thanks for the reply mate! Also this is offtopic but I dont want to spam threads. My Alienware Command Center touch pad isnt working. When I click on it it doesnt open it just shows me the background. Anyone know how to fix this? Cuz I want to disable my touchpad when an external mouse is plugged in

I would suggest 267.76 or something along those lines. Its most stable right now for me.
