    Need help guyz..
I have an alienware m11x r2. Shutdown happened to be normal last night and today morning it wasn't even starting. Searched all over the internet, seems like it is bricked now. Then came to know that OC is another reason for BIOS failure. But i had it overclocked for around 3 weeks and everything was going fine and today morning this happened!!! :(

Can't even find how to recover from bad flash in m11x r2....
    plzz, plzzz, plzzzz HELP!!

Here's this thread I found about a BIOS recovery for the M11x R2, but the files are no longer available. Still I thoughyou may be able to get in contact with the author of the thread and if you get lucky he might have the files.

    Open the back panel
    disconnect battery
hold down power button for 30 seconds
    reconnect battery
    Put lid back on

Then try booting. Also try removing any 2nd RAM module you may have installed.

ty for ur attention, but i've already seen this thread and worst thing is that the author has his last activity on Feb 17 2012.. :(
since then he hasn't been here, so i doubt on his quick return.. :-/

did exactly as u said bt nothing happened... does resetting CMOS really restores the BIOS!!!!

and as u knw the files are no longer available, how am i supposed to reflash BIOS?

It happened to me also a year ago, I woke up one morning and laptop dead.A friend told me I had water spill. I didn't even know about it because I didn't see any water near the laptop. Well at least he fixed it for me but it took him quite some time lol.

Well, he had to get motherboard parts, resistors, and whatnot. Then he had to solder them in place of the burnt ones. He said it was a pain in the butt getting the parts and doing the work.
