    Hello everybody...

Yesterday I received my new Alienware M11x R3. It runs flawlessly!!!

I have only one question, I have tried don connect my laptop and my external monitor throuhgt HDMI cable. My laptop recognized it but i chan“t change the resolution. I see1024x768 in the external monitor. Is that normal???

My monitor is big and I would like to use a bigger resolution. Can I??

    Thank you in advance!!!

Depends, what resolution does your monitor support?

my r1 does full 1080, so your r3 should for sure. Do you have the m11x lcd turned off? or are you using both screens?

what i do it's this: go into power settings and change "what close lid does" to "Do Nothing". then close the lid and hook up the hdmi cable. It should then display to the TV and if its in 1024x768 then right click and change the resolution to anything you want; all the way up to 1080p if you so desire. On a personal note, I have a 720p TV but my r1 displays 1920x1080 full screen on it no problem (I played through the witcher 1 like this) but my 6850 on my new desktop will only do up to 1360x768 full screen, anymore and there is a wierd box around the screen. any ideas? (I would have asked this at desktop review forums but the last time i posted there it took 4 days to get an answer)
