    Hi,
So ATM I am used to a 13.3 inch screen with a resolution of 1280x800 (macbook pro) and I find the screen the perfect size for me
I am looking at buying the alienware M11X which is 1366x768 on an 11.6 inch screen

I need an honest opinion of an alienware owner that can tell me how much of a change this will be?
Please don't say go to microcentre or another store because there is no alienware at stores near me
    Help Please?

BTW this will be my primary computer and I don't like external monitors

i went from a 1600x 1200 screen to my m11x, and to be honest its great for what it is, i have no quibbles with it.

from a macbook i dont think you will notice any difference size wise

I went from a MBP 1440x900 down to my m11x R1, and haven't looked back. People say the screen is worse than the MBP's, and it's true. And I love me some screen real estate. But I still prefer the m11x.

For some things, I do miss the bigger screen, but all of those things are work-related, and I hook it up to a 21" display at work.

If your eyes can handle the smaller screen, you'll be just fine.

The screen was the one thing that scared me because of its reflection, but if you are not in office environment or a sunny room you will have no problems at all with it and all my worries have gone now.

I moved from a 10 inch netbook and the difference is substantial and even against my 1080p clevo I think its excellent for an 11 inch screen.

You could do what my friend did, measure out the change on a piece of paper and hold that up to your current laptop and see what you think? :p

Yep, 1366*768 is generally what you find in low end 15" netbook , so on a 11" screen ,sure imagine it looks great.

13"MBP is sure bigger, but 11" is good enough for me ( but i can't bear screen under 11" , not for longer than 10 min )

I came from a 9 inch dell mini, so the 11.6 was huge for me... then I got a 21.5 external for it. The screen is not too small, but it is nice to be on the big screens too.

I use my M11x as my primary machine, 24/7 displaying on my 42" plasma. It's completely up to you which machine will fit your needs better, based on your requirements for it. Nobody else will know your needs better than you.

Rishwin gave some great advice, but if we're talking about a main machine here I don't think I could have the M11x as my only computer.

For me the screen is to small for some things that I am required to do. Editing pictures would be a big one.

the m14x/m11x dilemma is a toughie. I like the size of the m11x A LOT. But the m14x has so much going for it: the swappable processor, 3 extra inches of screen, and so forth.

For me it came down to price. I couldn't find the m14x at the outlet for a deep enough discount. I had an actual budget limit: $750. (I went over by $16 after tax.)

I personaly do not have experience with the M14x but I have used my M11x as my main machine without any issues with the screen. I played WoW, Eve Online, Skyrim, Team Fortress 2 and did not find the screen size as a problem.

Then again, I don't really do a lot of graphical stuff like video or picture editing so your mileage may vary. It all depends on what you'll be using it for really.
