I just want to play BF3,the M11X is portable so I could be anywhere around my house and be playing it. But I would also connect it to my tv when I'm not out of my house. I just don't know if the M11X can handle 30FPS on a monitor. Also what's up with the inconsistency? Frooglepete play on his R2 25-30FPS i5, but everyone else complains they cant even play on all low settings.

different drivers give different results. Also the different versions of the m11x will give you quite different performance values due to the processor and video card variances. The m14x is a more robust gaming platform, where the m11x is more for portability. Also something to consider the m11x screen is so small that it can make more distant enemies very difficult to see because they will be so tiny on your screen.

Despite all that the m11x is a quite powerful little machine, the R3 will play most games on high or medium settings although some must be on low graphics settings to perform smoothly (most notably The Witcher 2). If you are looking at something more for gaming and have the extra $$ I would suggest the m14x due to its increased screen size and more powerful graphics chip and main cpu.

For the price and size, the M11x is unmatched in terms of performance. I'm not too sure on BF3 performance but the forum has a comprehensive thread on BF3 and the R3, which I assume would be on your shortlist. Inconsistencies result from various issues but if the majority of us say it works, it is likely that it does. As for the M14x, I'm not too sure. For the price and specs, I think it is a bit disappointing and the alternatives may be cheaper but with similar performance.

I put bf3 on my r3 for a laugh thinking it would run like poop.

Surprisingly it runs well at native with high textures and a mix of low medium settings.
I thought it would be impossible on an 11" screen but ended up having some of my best rounds yet!

Ooooh right here! I got the witcher 2 to run on my r1 at ~30 fps! just shut down ALL background processes (I do it by pressing shutdown then cancel right before the computer shuts down), Overclock eveything, and voila! 25-30 fps in a 12 man fight.

Nice!I personally don't like Overclocking, but I will shutdown all background processes when playing some intense games.
