    Hello mates,

So today i ran into a little big problem; either the battery or the charger isn't working. My laptop indicated that it has been charging, until around this evening. I've searched around various forums and such and i've downloaded what appears to be a battery meter. The battery meter prog tells me that my battery is operating normally, which would subdue my thoughts of the battery dying out. However, when i turn off the laptop, (charger plugged in) my alien; power button lights up indicating that there is power. Now, with the computer still off, i unplugged the charger cable, and the light disappears. Put it back in, light reappears. I then turn on the laptop, and it's not charging even though it recognized that it was hooked up to power. Do you guys have any insight on to what might be wrong?

Edit1: I just took out the battery, discharged it via holding power button for 20 seconds. I put the charger back into my laptop, and turned it fine. Would anyone presume that the battery DID die?

My guess would be battery yeah. Take the battery out and see if it powers up just with the power cable. That should eliminate any problem with the power cable itself. By what you have described the cable seems fine so it must be the battery.

I have had some odd power issues in the past with my R1 as well, it would not charge for almost a month, and then one day it did again (I never take it off charge so it does not matter). How is it working now (battery charging, ect)? I seen your edit but I am a bit lost ;D
