I recently had the screen on my M11XR1 replaced (due to the faulty hinge design) and it had a pretty terrible blue cast to the whole screen so I created a couple of ICC profiles for it.

The new screen is of the AUO105C variety and I have calibrated it using both the Nvidia and Intel GPUs. I used the Eye-one match software with the recommended settings for a laptop (6500K, 2.2 Gamma and 90cd) and I calibrated it using a backlight level of 3 (0 being the lowest setting), so for the "correct" luminance you may want to use that backlight setting. The results are very good to my eyes, a vast improvement over the stock settings. Your individual mileage may vary though due to manufacturing differences, to get the best settings I would recommend you calibrate yourself, but I know this isn't always possible. Hopefully this will be of use to someone, for a great guide on how to enable ICC profiles please see http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m11x/492790-m11xr2-calibrated-lcd-icc-profile.html
