Hello, I just recently bought the M11XR2 a month ago and currently, it's having problems with something it was preinstalled with, steam.

Yeah I don't even know how. It all started yesterday, when suddenly, running MW2 started to lag into 8 to 12 FPS... I know it's definally not the Nvidia chip working, most likly the intel HD chip.

Now the funny thing is... Optimus works with all other programs. World at War ran fine, no lag, it's definally the Nvidia chip unless intel HD can pull off some magical hat trick and make it run about 30 to 50 FPS with high settings.

This is just absolutely weird. I had tried many option, here is an entire list:
    • White listing all my games including steam
    • Updating my drivers
    • Reformatted my computer, well it worked, but only for 24 hours then it happened again
    • reinstalled the games
    • using other functions, such as adding every steam services onto there
    • restarting my computer (dell says it fixes 90% of the problems... guess mine must be in the 10%)

now currently, I'm going to try and reinstall steam itself... if it's only steam that's acting up, which I think it is...

Anyone else here experiencing the same problems I'm facing? Thank you.

White listing Steam doesn't accomplish anything useful. For Steam games you have to find each game's executable. Not it's shortcut and not it's launcher application.

    Usually they're located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\[your_steam_id]\[game folder\[game.exe]
