I was wondering how much longer Alienware was going to have their core 2 duo model for 599.99. I have read many saying that it ends March 3, but I have also heard March 31. The longer I can wait at this price point the better due to hinges getting fixed in March. So any information on the timeout of this $200 discount would be much appreciated!

    Thanks :)

No idea how long it will be around, but there have been a couple deals lately for the M11x R2 going for $699. If you can live with spending another $100 I'd wait for that deal to show up again (if it does!)

Couldn't find an expiration for the $200 deal off on the R1, and also if you don't mind refurbished systems make sure to check out the Dell Outlet, can find some great deals there as well :).

Yeah that was one helluva bargain. I'm sure there are a lot of new members in this area of the forums because of it. XD

Do you guys think getting a refurbished system is a worthy option? I just don't want to buy a system and have problems with it. So I guess this is a waiting game. Hoping the r1 doesn't go or just wait for a good deal on r2...

They always have discounts from time to time, just wait a couple weeks to a month and you'll probably see a new one.

    Purchases a refurbished M11X R1.

It was absolutely perfect! The only problem was the Windows Sticker on the back with the key was peeling off.

System has no problems what so ever.

    pull the trigger~!

Got my R2 from the outlet (refurb) i5, 4gb ram, 7200rpm 250 hdd for 740 includes taxes, and over night shipping $40. Love it no issues as of yet!
